T&I Releases Committee Print of Transportation Bill
Highways and Transit Subc. markup set for June 24
On Monday, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure released the Committee Print of the next surface transportation authorization bill. The Subcommittee on Highways and Transit is set to mark up the Committee Print on Wednesday, June 24. The completed bill will be introduced at a later
date.
The white paper, entitled “A Blueprint for Investment and Reform,” and the Committee Print released today are posted on the Committee’s Web site, http://transportation.house.gov.
American Clean Energy and Security Act to Invest in Clean Transportation Projects
A new agreement that will allow states to use funding from the American Clean Energy and Security Act to invest in clean transportation projects that reduce global warming pollution.
ITE Proposed Policy on Climate Change
The International Board of Direction approved a policy on climate change for ITE member comment. The policy was vetted via the ITE Policy and Legislative Committee and Energy and Climate Change Task Force. It was developed to complement current ITE policies on energy and the environment and to fill an immediate gap to address ITE’s new mega issue and current international policy discussions and activities. Bipartisan Policy Center Releases Authorization Proposal
The Bipartisan Policy Center’s National Transportation Policy Project released a report with recommendations related to authorization of the surface transportation program, entitled, “Performance Driven: New Vision for U.S. Transportation Policy.”
