PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS
The ITE Educational Foundation (ITEEF) offers continuing education and professional development activities to keep transportation professionals on the cutting edge of the industry. ITEEF provides opportunities for gaining knowledge, maintaining professional competency and meeting state and provincial registration board requirements for P.E./P.Eng. licensure and Professional Transportation Planner® (PTP), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer® (PTOE), Traffic Operations Practitioner Specialist® (TOPS) and Traffic Signal Operations Specialist® (TSOS) certification renewals. ITEEF is an International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider of continuing education units (CEU) and follows the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) continuing Professional Competency and Guidelines for assignment and determination of professional development hours (PDH). ITE is an approved provider of training in the states of New York and Florida (EXP0003871). Attendees have the opportunity to earn PDH or IACET CEU for sessions and seminars.

Technical sessions: 1 PDH/0.1 IACET CEU for each hour of session attendance or presentation, for a total of 1.5 PDH/0.15 IACET CEU per session.
Seminars: 1 PDH/0.1 IACET CEU for each hour of seminar attendance or presentation, for a total of 1.5 PHD/0.15 IACET per module.
Papers: 10 PDH per paper published as part of the ITE 2009 Annual Meeting and Exhibit Compendium of Technical Papers.
Technical tours: 1 PDH for each hour of a technical tour

Note: Paper publication does not qualify for IACET CEU. In order to successfully earn IACET CEU, a learning participation form must be completed and returned to ITE. Forms will be available in the final program on-site.

As an additional service, ITE hosts the Professional Competency Record Keeping System on its Web site at www.ite.org/pdrks. The report created by the system conforms to the guidelines set forth by NCEES. This service aids in the record keeping of all professional development opportunities.

Please contact Nicola Tavares at +1 202-289-0222 ext. 155 if you have questions about this process.

ITE and ITEEF have been reviewed and approved as Authorized Providers by IACET, 1620 I Street, NW, Suite 615, Washington, DC, 20006. ITE will award CEU, as indicated under each course description, to participants who successfully complete each course.
