Road Traffic Injuries and Deaths -- A Global Problem

When: February 20, 2025 | 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET

This webinar is led by the ITE Industry Council.

Webinar Description:

Did you know that traffic crashes are the number one cause of death for people under 29?* To combat this issue, cities around the world are adopting policies to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries.

The traditional approach to road safety has been reactive, relying on historical and unreliable crash data. But safety studies help identify high-risk areas and accident-prone zones, enabling traffic departments to roll out targeted safety measures such as improved signage, pedestrian crossings, and road redesigns to create safer streets for everyone.

Miovision Scout Plus offers comprehensive safety studies that identify near-misses and use a number of factors to predict the likelihood of an injury or fatality-causing crash. This enables traffic engineers to identify – and mitigate – risks before collisions happen.*
