Webinar Description:

This webinar is a panel discussion on what it is like to be an expert witness. The panel includes transportation professionals at different points in their career and with different case loads. The conversation will include panel members' path to taking on expert witness work and how they approach the business of expert witness work.

This webinar is in response to various ITE members asking the Transportation Forensics and Risk Management Standing Committee for presentations on the business of being an expert witness. While the moderator has a set of prepared questions, the moderator will reserve much of the webinar time for participant questions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the types of work expert witnesses perform.
  • Recognize paths to becoming an expert witness.
  • Identify good clients versus bad clients for expert witnesses.
