Workshop Description:
Technical writing is an art; it focuses on conveying complex, technical information in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner. This 2-part technical writing workshop targets students and early career transportation professionals looking to enhance their technical writing skills. This workshop provides valuable insights and practical tools to improve clarity, structure, and effectiveness in technical documents.

Part 1: This first session will discuss the nuances of technical writing and encourage the attendees to write and submit a 2-page technical memo on a given transportation-related topic. The panel of experts will review the submissions and provide constructive comments.

Part 2: The second session will be dedicated to the review of the selected assignments. This unique setting aims to provide targeted constructive criticism and specific examples of do’s and don’ts in technical writing. This hands-on workshop will help you develop essential technical writing skills to set you apart in your career.

Registration for this workshop includes Part 1 and Part 2. Registration for the whole workshop closes 30 minutes prior to the Part 1 Workshop.
