Guide for Authors Submitting to ITE Journal

Welcome to ITE Journal's guide for authors. Below is the information you need to prepare and submit your article for consideration. Following these guidelines will ensure that your document moves seamlessly through the review and editing process.

General Submission Guidelines

  • Article Types: ITE Journal accepts manuscripts, informational pieces, case studies, member profiles, and varied content based on our editorial calendar.
  • Writing Style: Authors should ensure their manuscripts are clear, grammatically correct, and styled according to the ITE Journal's requirements outlined in the guidelines. The ITE Journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style.

Preparing Your Manuscript

  • File Format: The preferred format for manuscript is Microsoft Word. Authors do not need to follow a template, but please ensure your heading levels are clear, and the sections clearly defined.
  • Formatting Requirements: Manuscripts should not exceed 2,500 words, including references, tables, and figure text/captions. Use minimal word processing formatting; excessive formatting such as tab indents and all capitals must be avoided. See full guidelines for other requirements.
  • Abstract: Each manuscript must include an abstract of 150 words (maximum).
  • Figures and Tables: Articles may include up to six exhibits (e.g., tables, figures, charts). Manuscripts exceeding this number will be returned.
  • Supplementary Materials: If your manuscript is accepted, you will need to submit high-resolution files for any figures or photos separately, in JPG, EPS, PNG or TIFF formats.

Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Submit your completed manuscript along with any tables and figures to ITE Journal Submission Portal.
  • Registration: Details for registration and submission are available at the submission portal.
  • Fees: No fee is required to submit a manuscript to ITE Journal.

Peer Review Process

  • Review Policy: All unsolicited manuscripts undergo a peer review by three to five experts in the topic's field. The process typically takes about two months but may vary.
  • Notification of Status of Article: After the review process, the Editor in Chief decides whether or not to publish the article and notifies the author. Accepted manuscripts are then scheduled for an issue of ITE Journal based on its relevance to planned editorial themes.

Copyright and Licensing

  • Copyright Transfer: If accepted, you'll be required to complete a Transfer of Copyright form, which will be sent to you by the Editor in Chief. You retain rights for future works.

Ethical Guidelines

  • Original Work: The manuscript must be original and not under consideration by another publication. Proper permissions must be secured and provided for any extended quotations, figures, or tables from other works.

Post-Acceptance

  • Proofs and Additional Items: Following acceptance, you'll need to provide a final Microsoft Word file of your paper in the indicated format, separate files for images, author photos and biographies, and any required permissions.
